After five minutes walking from the Holiday home the path ascends gently into mature bush and within a further five minutes reaches the top of the Raumanga Falls. From here the path ascends more steeply for a few hundred metres to rejoin Raumanga Valley Road.

The best picnic areas are towards the head of the reserve alongside the stream where there is adequate tree shade.
In the Holiday House, there is a kitchen, 3 bedrooms and delightful area outside for enjoying a relaxing dinner or barbecue whilst taking in the view and watching the sun set. Outside there is ample room to park the cars and delightful gardens to wander and enjoy the fruit off the tree. A 30 minute drive will bring you to the picturesque Tutukaka Coast where you can enjoy world class diving, fishing, beaches and bush walks. The Info Centre,i-SITE,Cafe, shops and golf course are just a short drive(2 min).
